Joseph3 Hills (Joseph,2 William1), born at Hartford, Conn., [say 1685], died after 1759; … He is doubtless the 'Joseph Hils' who was admitted a freeman and took the oath at Glastonbury, 24 Apr. 1710. … Joseph Hill of Glastonbury, signing by mark, conveyed 18 Jan. 1741/2, for £45, and 15 July 1743, for £30, to his son, Joseph Hill, Jr. He conveyed for love, 14 July 1746, to his son Benjamin. He conveyed, 26 Apr. 1737, to his daughter, Hannah Lamb of Glastonbury and soon after Thomas Lamb bought adjacent property. He conveyed, 23 Apr. 1759, to his son Benjamin, reserving the house and improved lands during his natural life."
