    Joseph Hickock, son of William (1); born about 1645 at Farmington, Conn.; died 1687 at Woodbury, Conn.; married Mary Carpenter, born August 1650, dau. of David Carpenter of Farmington; she married (2) Samuel Hinman. He lived at Farmington 1673. After 1680 he lived in Waterbury, Conn.; in 1686 he lived in Woodbury (Southbury). His wife admitted to church at Farmington 1 March 1679/80; he was a member of the First Congregational Church 2 May 1686. Inventory 12 August 1687, included land in Waterbury. Children's ages: Joseph 14; Benjamin 12, 5 January next; Samuel 14 weeks; Mary 9, 15 May last; Elizabeth 6, next June; Widow Mary made oath at Woodbury 31 October 1687, the court appointed Samuel Hickock of Waterbury, Capt. Minor, Mr. John Sherman and Jonathan Hough, Overseers.
