  3. Source:Cutter, William Richard. New England Families, Genealogical and Memorial, p. 3:1012, says Joseph Fuller was born Ipswich 4 Jul 1658, but it is not clear what this is based on, as no such record is found in Ipswich VRs. Anderson gives "say 1662", but it is not clear why he settles on this date in preference to the age at death which gives an estimate of about 1658. A Joseph Fuller shows up in various Essex County Court Records in 1680, including one that appears to be a taxing of Ipswich residents, and if it is indeed the same Joseph Fuller, would suggest a birth by 1659 to be of age. The father's will names the younger children "Thomas, Nathanael, Joseph, Sarah & yt w'ch is to be borne" (Essex Probate Records, p. 2:57), which, if in order, disagrees with Anderson's order, which might mean his estimates may not be quite right?
