Joseph Eastman was baptised on 18 Mar 1750 in Romsey, Hampshire, the son of William Eastman (mother not listed). At this time there are no other listings of christenings of children of William Eastman in Romsey in the 1740s or 1750s. There were some children born to a William and Sarah Eastman in Romsey in the 1830s but it is not known whether this is the same William.

FamilySearch lists two dates for Joseph's marriage to Hannah Brown(e) in Millbrook, Hampshire: 31 Oct 1784 and 7 Nov 1784. They had at least 6 children, all baptised at Millbrook:

1. John bap. 10 Jul 1785

2. Mary bap. 29 Jun 1788

3. Joseph bap. 6 Mar 1791

4. Ann bap. 20 Apr 1794

5. Jane bap. 12 Nov 1797

6. Thomas bap. 9 Mar 1800, buried at Millbrook 14 May 1800

Hannah died and was buried at Millbrook on 23 Aug 1801 (estimated age: 38). On 18 Aug 1808 he married widow Sarah Jameson in Millbrook. His occupation is listed as gardener on the marriage license (from "Hampshire: - Marriage License allegations, Bishop of Winchester, 1689-1837" - it'd be great to see the original record of this - where can we get it?).

Joseph died and was buried 2 Apr 1829 at Millbrook.
