Will of "Joseph Doughty of Oyster Bay", recorded Jamaica, Queens, dated 7 Jul 1716, mentions wife Sarah, eldest son Joseph, son Isaac, daughter Sarah, and "provides for a child in case his wife be with child." Widow's receipt dated 29 Jan 1717, Sarah wife of John Jackson receipt 7 May 1724 [born about 1706 to be 18], Joseph dated 6 May 1729 [born about 1708 to be 21], Elizabeth dated 24 Jul 1736 [born about 1716].
