- Dameron, Joseph, born 2/2/1763 in Northumberland County, Virginia; entered service 1780 in Amelia County, Virginia, when manager of plantation there; entered service 1781 in Brunswick County, Virginia, while resided there with father, moved to Halifax County, Virginia, to Caswell County, North Carolina, where received Pension 1833; query letter in file 1912 from descendant Mrs. M.S. Palmer, Moberly, Missouri; query letter in file 1926 from descendant E.P. Dameron, Washington, D.C., states soldier born Hanover, Virginia; query letter in file states soldier died NC in 1833.
