Joseph Corbett's name surfaces in the New York Times in 1895 because he was involved in a dispute with some residents of Lakewood, New Jersey, when he attempted to open a saloon there. By 1900, he had a saloon at 161st Street & 3rd Avenue in New York. He owned a house at 906 Cauldwell Avenue in the Bronx which he sold in 1920. |
