[cos1776 Note of Caution: Davis is in error. The children listed here for the first marriage of Joseph Cook actually belong to Joseph Cole (see Family:Joseph Cole and Abigail Royce (1)).]

[cos1776 Research Note: At this time, I am not sure if there was a first marriage. There is no Barbour VR for the marriage, and although there does appear to have been a Joseph and Abigail Cook family at this time, they had a son Benjamin, b. 22 Apr 1725, so it would have been while this Joseph was still married to Eleanor and having children. More research is needed.]
