Joseph Hill Caldwell, 82, life-long resident of Deans Comers, died at his home Saturday night after an illness of 12 years. Mr. Caldwell was born August 7, 1853 at Deans Corners and had resided since he was seven years old in the home in which he died. Besides his widow, Amelia Mott Caldwell, survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Stephen Barton, Wayvule, and Miss Bertha Caldwell, Saratoga Springs; a son, Arthur J. Caldwell, residing at the old homestead; one4 grandson, Eugene M. Caldwell, Rhine-beck; and one sister, Mrs. Libbie O. Appleman, Round Lake. The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Dayton L. Jones, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Stillwater, at the residence at 2 P. M D. S. T, today. Burial will be In the Caldwell Cemetery, Saratoga Lake.
