Acquisition of Land from Virginia Northern Neck Land Grants:

Children are listed in Genealogical Abstracts From 18th Century Virginia Newspapers Joseph, known as Colonel, had been County Lieutenant of Yohogania Co., VA., having arrived in the area as early as 1773, acquiring extensive holdings on Chartiers Creek in Peters Township. Col. Joseph's various letters petitioning for relief from the Indians are vivid.
