  3. Source:Underwood, Lucien Marcus. Underwood Families of America, p. 302 says this Jonathan [#536] is the son of Jonathan Underwood and Ruth Holland of Lexington. No evidence to support this is presented, rather it says little is known of the father (i.e., no will mentioned). There are two Jonathan's that seem to be likely candidates: this one, and the son of Abigail Flegg ("reputed son of John Underwood") b. Watertown in 1714. It appears that Needham records list the same birth as the son of John and Abigail Underwood, so it makes it likely the son of John was the John of Waltham who m. 1749 Sarah Parker of Needham. By elimination then, this Jonathan seems likely to be the one who married Lydia Muzzy.
