Will of Jonathan Thomas W: 17 Feb 1775 P: Apr Ct 1775 WB A/233 Edgecombe Co., NC being sick and weak Daus: Elizabeth Thomas, Christiana Thomas, Teresa Thomas, Mary Thomas, Sarah Thomas, Charity Thomas and Mourning Thomas bed and 5 pds each. Wife: Mary Thomas horse, desk, walnut table, etc., Negro Jem. Wife: lend use of my plantation for her widowhood or until my son Jonathan Thomas comes of age, then upper part of my land on Buck Branch adj. Meeting House Branch shall be given to Jonathan and at death or marriage of his mother I give him the plantation where I now live.
