  3. Source:Clarke, Mary Bosworth. Bosworth Genealogy shows three wives because it misidentifies Jonathan as the son of Nathaniel. Therefore it includes that Jonathan's wife Elizabeth Gifford, m. 1731 as a fictitious first wife. This Jonathan is too young to have married in 1731, and Elizabeth (Gifford) Soule was still living in 1759 when she is mentioned in her borther Gideon Gifford's will.
