  3.   Allred, p. 247, shows her weakness dealing with anything that happened outside Warwick when she says, Jonathan "b. (1766) Oxford, Ma.", m. (int.) "15 Feb 1867" Lucy Delvee. The marriage date is an obvious typo, the correct year being 1787. However, the birth year, which appears to be intended as an estimate, possibly meant before 1766 based on the marriage in 1787? The birth location appears to be a guess based on the origins of his wife, not reflecting any actual knowledge about Jonathan. Jonathan Shepardson "of Warwick" is named in his father's will of 1805, and the 1787 marriage intention calls Jonathan "of Warwick". Jonathan's father was living in Attleboro at least until 1765 when Jonathan's sister was born, then Templeton where other siblings were born, before moving to Royalston about 1790. There are no vital records of any person named Shepardson in Oxford at any time during the 1700s.
