Jonathan3 House (Joseph,2 William1), born at Glastonbury, Conn., 21 Oct. 1723, died there 23 Oct. 1788, in his 65th year (gravestone); … The will of Jonathan House of Glastonbury, dated 18 June 1788, proved 2 Dec. 1788, gave to daughters, Ruth and Sarah, land in East Hartford; to daughters, Rachel and Hannah, land; to daughters, Prudence, Rhoda, Ruth, Rebecca, Sarah, Rachel and Hannah, £20 each, 'and to be set off to them in Land to make them equal with my Daughter Elizabeth'; remainder equally among daughters, Prudence, Rhoda, Ruth, Rebecca, Sarah, Rachel, Hannah, and the Heirs of John Webster Deceas'd said Heirs to have one portion equal to one of my Daughters; to daughter, Elizabeth Porter, five shillings. Manoah Smith, executor. Witnesses: Wait Goodrich, Ebenezer Smith, Mary Smith. Inventory dated 24 Nov. 1788, taken by Hosea Fox and Samuel Welles, totaled £733.16.1."
