Jonathan (Hopkins)4 (Ebenezer,3 Stephen,2 John1), b. at Hartford 28 [23] June 1696; … In 1736 he settled in Harwinton, Connecticut, where his brother Ebenezer,4 had preceded him, and is listed as an Original Proprietor. In 1741-2,he was on a committee to provide a schoolhouse and its master or mistress, and in 1751 a selectman. On 20 August 1751, he was among the signers of the petition to have erected a new County of Litchfield (Chipman's Harwinton, 28:104, 109)."
