    second pastor of South church, Andover, 1772-1809;
    acted as surgeon at Battle of Bunker Hill;
    adviser of his parishioners, Judge Phillips and Samuel Abbot, regarding the Academy and the Seminary;
    religious teacher in the Academy for many years, and taught divinity students in his home, including several admitted on
    the "Dr. Phillips Charitable Foundation," before the establishment of the Seminary;
    died July 28, 1809.
