It is unlikely that the marriage occurred in Andover since the bride was "of Milton", but it is not found in Source:Milton, Norfolk, Massachusetts, United States. Milton Records, Births, Marriages, and Deaths, 1662-1843 either, nor any other town indexed by various search engines. It seems to come from a memoir by Rev. Timothy Alden, "Memoirs of Rev. Jonathan French, of Andover, Massachusetts", published in 1810. Significant parts of this memoir, including this date, have been republished in "The Christian's Magazine", Vol. 3, p. 663, also from 1810, and it is then found in most sources discussing this marriage since.
