"Timothy Emerson, Richard Emerson, Nehemiah Emerson, Abigail Ayer, widow, William Bradley and Mehitabel, his wife, all of Haverhill, Samuel Emerson, Jr., of Newburyport and Anna Runnells of Boxford, spinster, Samuel Emerson, of Chester, N. H., Esq., and Moses Emerson of Durham, N. H., Esq., joined in a quitclaim deed Aug. 25, 1770, to Jacob Whitcher of all their rights in land in Haverhill, being part of the homestead of Jonathan Emerson, late of Haverhill, adjoining some land which they had lately quitclaimed to John Emerson.
Abel Webster and Hannah, his wife, in her right; George Hull and Mehitabel, his wife, of Plymouth, N. H.; Moses Emerson of New Hopkinton, N. H., and Jonathan Emerson, of Concord, N. H., sold to Samuel Emerson of Newburyport four-fifths of one-tenth of the real estate of Jonathan Emerson, late of Haverhill, as being heirs to the estate of Nathaniel Emerson, late of Haverhill, deceased; dated June 4, 1770."
