    Will of "Jonathan Butterfield of Chelmsford ... yeoman; being very sick and weak", dated 10 Jul 1728, proved 7 Aug 1738, names wife Elizabeth [executrix], my sons Jonathan Robert and Samuel [under 21], son David "the Reason why I give David no more is because I gave him to my Brother Samuel Butterfield at fourteen years of age and he has had his service this twelve years and is to give him a portion for the same as by promise", daughters Elizabeth [all the household goods that was her mothers viz my first wife], Sarrah, Mary.
