I found the following on Johnathan [Alder] and Mary Ann.
Jonathan was captured by the Indians when he was 8 years old and taken to OH where he lived eventually settling with his family on the Darby Creek in 1790's.He was married to his Indian wife Barshaw about 1785 and they had 2 children both of whom died as young children. They were divorced before Jonathan returned to VA. They were married and divorced according to Indian custom.
In 1802-05 he learned his Mother and brothers was still living in VA. He went to visit and persuaded his mother Hannah and his brother Paul and their families to return to OH with him. His father Bartholomew Alder had died in 1779 and his mother had remarried James Murphy Nov 28, 1786.
Bartholomew Alder and Hannah Worthington were married in New Jersy December 16, 1766. She was his 2nd wife.
Jonathan met and courted Mary Ann while visiting his family and married Mary Ann Blout in Wyeth County VA on Jan 6 1806. Marriage record says she was 21 yrs old at the time of her marriage. Paul Alder was married to his first wife at that time.
So Jonathan and Mary Ann, Paul and Margaret, Hannah and her husband James Murphey and their daughter Hannah and her husband William Smith, all went to OH.
Mary Ann Blount Alder was living with her daughter Hannah Foster at time of her death and is buried in Illinois. Her original gravemarker is on display at the Alder cabin which was moved to the Madison County Historical Society grounds in London OH
Adam and Ann Blount purchased land in Wyeth County VA in 1804 from James Fleming. In 1810 they were in Brown twp but still owned land in VA. They were well educated as both signed their names to the deed.
found Franklin County OH marriage records for Allen Blont to Elitha Boyd Feb 3, 1825 and Sally Blont to Russell Bidwell Feb 5, 1825
Adam Blont will probated May 12, 1835 Franklin County OH Admr James M Paxton and security Minter Pickle and Owen T. Barbee.
Was Joseph Bell related to William Bell? William was in Fairfield twp Madison County. Have some info on him also.
hope this fills in some of the missing pieces
