    "57. Captain John(4) Wooster (Thomas 3, Thomas 2. Edward 1), of Seymour, born 22 December 1719, died 2 August 1804, aged 84, (gravestone). … He was appointed Ensign of the Thirteenth Company Second Regiment, in May 1760, Lieutenant of the same Company in May 1764, and Captain in October 1767. He served as deputy for Derby in the Connecticut Assembly for eleven consecutive session, from May 1771 to April 1775. In 1774 he was Justice of the Peace. The will of John Wooster, Esq., dated 1 November 1797 and proved 20 August 1804, names his wife Eunice, his sons John and Abijah, and his daughters Hannah Davis, Eunice Washbond, Anor Holbrook, Ruth Wooster, and Elizabeth Ann Loveland."
