John Wood was born in 1667, in Bonsall, Derbyshire, England, his father, George Edward Wood Sr, was 42 and his mother, Hannah Quick, was 38. He married Rebecca Faucit on 5 December 1706. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. He died on 18 July 1728, in Darby Township, Chester, Pennsylvania, United States, at the age of 61, and was buried in Darby MM, Delaware, Pennsylvania, United States.
