1861 - With parents at High Road, Gorleston with Southtown, Norfolk. Aged 20, no occupation recorded.

1871 - Recorded as an inmate of Yarmouth Gaol in Middlegate Street. Butcher, aged 30, born at Winterton.

1875 - Listed in Suffolk Post Office Directory as a grocer and draper.

1921 - Probate calendar entry for his wife describes her as wife rather than widow, but John was not one of those named as being granted probate. Thus may or may not still be alive.
