- Bedford County, TN Court Minutes, June Term 1851
- Jordan C. Holt, Adm. of John Wilhoite dec'd. & others, Distributees of said John Wilhoite, Exparte Decree.
- Be it remembered that this cause came on for hearing this 2nd day of June 1851 before John W. Hamlin, John Oneal & James Davis, Justices of the County Court
- Upon Petition of Complainants, when it appeared to the Court that the negroes Women Esther, Hannah & Flora and their children being twelve in number & Liza, Jacob & Bob being 18 in all, belong to the Estate of said John Wilhoite & that Petitioners are desirous of having them divided among his distributees. It is therefore Ordered adjudged and decreed by the Court that said Slaves be divided among said distributees - assigning to said Stegall & wife, one fifty and to Richard M. Wilhoite, John Wilhoite, Narcissa Wilhoite and Huldah Wilhoite the other four fifths jointly, to be left with them in Common - and that John T. Neil, George Davidson, Joseph Thompson, Samuel Doak and Wm. B.M. Brunce? be appointed Commissioners to make said division, any three of whom may det. And that they report to the next Term of this Court.

- Richard Warner, Guardian of the minor heirs of John Wilhoite dec'd. Came into Court on yesterday and entered into a renewal of his Guardian Bond in the sum of Fifteen Thousand dollars, with Anna A. Robinson and John B. Wilhoite his securities, Which Bond was duly acknowledged in Open Court by the said Richard Warner an his said Securities & was by the Court approved.

- This day Richard Warner Administrator of the Estate of John Wilhoite Jr. dec'd Returned into Court an inventory of the effects of said Estate & having made Oath to the same it was Ordered to be recorded.

son of Jacob Wilhoite, b. 1751 & Milly Holt Wilhoite. Married to Hulda Brinson Warner Wilhoite. She was born in 1812. John ran the Grain Mill his father founded who died in 1822 and ran it with his brother William until 1839.
