Obituary - INDEPENDENCE REPORTER, Sunday, Dec. 30, 1984 JOHN P. WEYRAUCH Moline, John Patrick Weyrauch, 82 Moline, died Friday at the Medical Lodge Nursing Home in Wichita. He was born Feb. 28, 1902 at Scranton, Kan., to Jacob and Mary Ellen (O'Keefe) Weyrauch. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Moline. His first wife, Bernadine Andrews Weyrauch died in 1973. In April 1975, at Moline he married Wilma Ritchards, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Joan Knight, Hamilton, Kans; a brother, Thomas Weyrauch, San Diego, Calif.; three sisters Gertrude Loyd, Howard and Elizabeth Morgan and Mildred Costin, both of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A vigil service will be held in the chapel of the Watt Funeral Home at Moline. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Lies, pastor of the church will officiate at both services. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery at Howard. A memorial has been established at the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
*(This is a real good indicator why you can't base your genealogy on obituaries. In Forest F. Redmond's obit, Edith is mentioned as the only child. Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery is near Moline, and it was Wilma Ritchards Kill and Bernadine Andrews Redmond.)
