John Walker was burgess for Warwick in 1644, 1646, and 1649, removed to Gloucester County, and was Lt. Col. and Councillor in 1656. He married SARAH, WIDOW of Henry Fleet.

This Bill bindeth mee, Collonell JO. WALKER, my heirs Executors Administrators & assignes to pay unto MARY BYRDEN, the natural Daughter of Mrs. SARA FLEETE, the somme of foure hundred pounds of lawful money of England at or wth.in the expiracon of six moneths after hir arrivall to the age of sixteene yeres or her day of marriadge. & in case the sd. MARY BURDEN should dye before the terminaon of the tyme abovesd., then the sd. somme to devolve unto the next heire or heires of Mrs. SARA FLEETEs body begotten by the abovesd. Coll. JOHN WALKER & for the true performance of the p:misses, I have hereunto sett my hand and seale this 15th day of October 1662.
THE CONDICON of this Obligation is such that if the abovesd. Coll: JO: WALKER, his heires Executors, Administrators or assignes doe well & truly pay or cause to bee paide the just somme of two hundred pounds of good and lawful' money of England unto the abovesd: MARY BURDEN, accordinge as in the above sd. Bill is exprest., or in case of her decease to the next heire or heires of Mrs. SARA FLEETEs body as above exprest., then this Obligacon to bee voyde, otherwise to stande in full force & effect

Cod. dated 6 Jul 1668 mentions that dau. Anne had, by that time, mar. John PAYNE. Prov. by the depositions of Richard FOX, aged 39 years or thereabouts, and Joseph CHISSELL aged 27 years or thereabouts.

Will of Colonel John Walker. His will dated 22 February, 1665, was proved 3rd and recorded 10th February, 1668, in Rappahannock County.
A copy of his will was recorded in Richmond County, Virginia, 10 February, 1706.
He was dead by 28 January, 1668/9, when his widow Sarah Walker, made her will. She was a widow before she married Colonel Walker and in her will she mentions her only son merely as "my Sonne Henry."
She remarried, to Colonel John Stone. Rappahannock County Deeds No. 5, 1672-76, page 97.
