Information on John Vickery
- SOURCE: W.G. SWAIM NOTES: Patents BB:258, 1695, shows that one John Vickery entered "Bristoll", 200 acres. Later transactions place Bristoll on Watts Creek, south side of (Great) Choptank River (e.g. Dorchester Deeds 12 old 103).
- John Vickery and Anne, his wife, of Kent Co. PA (now Delaware) sold Bristoll on 12 Mar 1726 (Dorchester Deeds 8 Old 151). This John is quoted later in 12 Old 102 re this father. Farmers named their estates i.e., "Bristoll" "Pleasant".
If John died in 1711, could not have been the same one that sold land in 1726.
- SOURCE: Carol Galbreath notes. John Vickory and wife Anne lived on the Kent Co., DE, land. They sold the Dorchester Co. land in 1726.
