John Higgins Turple is said to have lived at various times in Caribour, New Glasgow, Clam Harbour and Dartmouth. An old letter written by Jennet MacDonald Higgins Faulkner speaks of "John Turple" who has been staying with them of an expected marriage between him and Mrs. Andey Mosher. [ER] According to Stevens, John Higgins Turple was enumerated as a miner boarding alone with Monson Lindsay at Caribou Gold Mines in 1901, while his family was also enumerated at Clam Bay in 1901. He later lived at Montague Gold Mines and Moose River Gold Mines. References
