John W Turner, 77, Bettsville, Died at his home Wednesday March 16, 19 55 at 8 p.m. He had been in Ill Health for Four Years, and had been bedfa st the last two and onehalf years. He was born in Kansas OH. Nov. 6, 1878 the son of Burlington S and Ali ce (Kies) Turner, and was married Nov. 6, 1902 to Mary Emma Gross. Mr Turner was a former Mayor of Bettsville, and until his retirement 6 yea rs ago had been Postmaster at Bettsville for 27 Years. He was an Honora ry member of the Fire Department and a member of the Fremont Macabees. Burial will be in Pleasant Union Cemetery at old Fort. He is surviv ed by his wife and Two Children, J.B.Turner and Mrs. Clarence Teal. Bettsv ille, One Brother, Frank Turner, West Palm Beach, Fla. The Grandsons, Ka rl A Turner, Toledo, and Donald A Turner, Lima. and Five Great Grand Child ren.
