  3. 3.0 3.1 We cannot tell if this is the same as the son John named on Polly's gravestone since this son John b. 1780, d. 1783 has his own mention on a different gravestone. But since the father died in 1780, if the one on Polly's gravestone is different, he would have had to have been born before this one, and it is unclear what they would wait until Polly's death in 1786 to put him on a gravestone.
