Torbet, (A decendant of John) stated thet this John, faather of Robert of Kentucky and Indiana, was born in Northern Ireland near Belfast, and that he was a Presbyterian, that he came to America in 1734 to settle near York PA. with his folks. This woould mean that John was about 5 when his parents came to America.

John's will was registered on Mar 3, 1785, and probated on Jan 20, 1786. He had moved from Lancaster Co. in 1783 to Bedford Co. living in the Twp of Baree.
