Facts and Events
Name John Swallow
Gender Male
Birth[1] 12 Nov 1752 Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire, England
Christening[1] 19 Nov 1752 Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire, England

John Swallow was born on 12th November 1752 and baptised a week later at Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire. He was the son of Elizabeth Swallow, formerly Constable, and her husband John Swallow, a tailor. The family moved to the neighbouring parish of Kimpton shortly after John's baptism. John has yet to be definitively traced after his baptism, although there is a "John Swallow, labourer of Kimpton" listed in the 1775 militia lists for Kimpton which may well be him.
