    31 Dec 1739: Widow "(now Mercy Grant)" and heirs of John Stratten Late of Watertown cited to nominate appraisers to settle real estate. Balance: £23-8-1, £6 to "Eldest son", £3 to "other 4 Children"; rest to widow.
    Mar 1739/40: Appraisl of real estate of John Stratton, one third part to to Mercy the now Wife of Cristopher Grant (who was Widow of the Said John Stratton Dec'd:), rest will not conveniently accommodate more than one Settlement.
    26 Dec 1743: Judge's decree settling two thirds of real estate of John Stratton late of Watertown on Joshua Stratton eldest son, he to pay his brother John Stratton, and to his sisters Eunice Stratton, Abigail Stratton & Mercy Stratton.

There appears to be a bond by Christopher Grant on the same date, but so hard to read, the details are not clear.
