26 May 1691: "Inventori of ... iohn Stratton of waturtoune Late dececid" 1 Feb 1700/01: Petition of "Mary Relect widdow & s'd Jn'o Stratten Jun'r" that whereas "John Stratton Sen'r of watertown" died 1691 considerably in debt and "Left Mary his wife together with several small Chilldren In a low & helpless condetion And John Stratton Jun'r is Eldist Sone did then take pitty of his Mother ye Relect widdow & small Chilldren" and pay debts and manage & carry on the affaires ... "who was at Least twenti one yeares old at the death of his s'd father" and "who never had yet any sattisfaction for anything done", request a settlement of the estate.
