The listing for John D. Stephenson in the 1900 census, Rushcreek Township, Logan Co., OH shows his wife as Emma, b. in IN. His mother, Elizabeth Derr, age 70, is living with them as is a nephew, Harry Noble, age 14, b. in MN and a niece, Ina(or Iva..hard to read), age 10, b. in OH. Their mother was b. in Iowa and father in OH.

According to Mike Schwing, John D.'s sister, Mary Amelia, was married to a William Noble. That could account for the niece and nephew with the last name of Noble living with him in the 1900 census. But it says their mother was born in Iowa.

Death certificate shows cause of death was pernicious anemia. He was a farmer and stock dealer.
