Stephens, John - born in Bedford County, Virginia, moved abt. age 10 with father to Botetourt County, Virginia where he entered service 1780 in Virginia Regiment; moved in 1781 to Kentucky where he was granted Pension 1832 in Montgomery County at age 72, resided there in 1834. F-17703 , R2280.
- Note: the Revolutionary Pension File #F-17703 belongs to a Jacob Stephens (1759-1841) of Frederick County, Virginia and later Madison County, Missouri, so additional research is needed to find this John Stephens' actual Revolutionary Pension File number.
