  2. ↑ 2.0 2.1 Jacob Springle (Sprinkle) was born 8 Feb 1751, the son of William & Anna Catharine Sprenkel. He was baptized 27 May 1751 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, York, York Co., PA.

    A few years after he married Barbara, they moved to Shenandoah Co., VA and then to Baltimore Co., MD. By 1790, they were in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY. Jacob was a mason by trade.

    Barbara died died 8 Mar 1805 and there is a record of her death.

    Jacob died about 1811 in Lexington. We have been able to learn a lot about the composition of his family from the various legal documents associated with the settlement of his estate.
