- 20 Nov 1750 -- (among loose survey papers in the Virginia State Archives, Richmond, VA) - By Virtue of a Warrant from the Proprietors Office dated the 29th of Septem'r 1750 Survey'd for John Snodgrass of Frederick a parcell of Waste Land where he lives on both sides of Back Creek & bounded as follows Beginning at (A) a Corner red Oak on the w't side of Back Creek being a Corner to Jennet Carmady's Lands Thence along her line N 75 W at 216 po: came to her Corner red Oak, the same Course Continued 121 po further to (B) a Scale bark'd Hiccory by a small branch Thence S 15 W 171 po: to (C) Corner Pine on a piney hill Thence Crossing the s'd Creek at a dismall point of Rocks S 75 E 50 po: to (D) a Corner white Oak in Daniel Cannady's line Thence with the same N 40 E 15 po: to (E) the s'd Cannady's Corner Gum Thence along another of his Lines S 50 E 80 po: to (F) a young Spanish Oak corner in the s'd Line Finally N 62 1/2 E 280 poles to the first station Containing 281 acres
