John and Celia had several children. They were born and married in Prussia where two daughters remained. John and Celia came to America in 1852 and settled in Pennsylvania. They brought two sons (John C. and Jacob) and two daughters to America. The two daughters remained in Pennsylvania when John C. and his son John B. came to Nebraska in 1867. In approximately 1873, Jacob joined his father and his brother in Nebraska.
