Could his father have been SOLOMON SIGNS? Probably.

John Signs' was linked to the local Palatine community, through his wife Anna, who was a daughter of George Beamer. George was probably born in Rockenhausen. John Signs' son, Louis, was married to Anna Pretorius, also a Palatine surname. Also John's daughter, Rosa Catherine Signs, was the second wife of Jacob Eiler, Jr., who was of Palatine origin. Jacob's first wife was Christina Lower, daughter of John Jacob Lower, who we believe was a Palatine.

As of this time, "White Creek" does not know of John Signs' nationality.
