John H. Sibold Farmer/rubber company retiree John H. Sibold, 87, of East SR 6, Vickery, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, in Firelands Community Hospital, Sandusky. He was born in Allen CO July 29, 1911, to Ed and Sabra (Fleming) Sibold. On April 17, 1929, in Monroe, Mich., he married Velva M. Williamson. She died Jan. 15, 1995. Surviving are a daughter, Lila Bender of Fremont; two sons, John J. of Apoka, Fla. and Lyle Sibold of Vickery; 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by two grandsons, a sister and a daughter-in-law. Mr. Sibold, a life-long farmer, also worked at Fremont Rubber for 32 years until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of Vickery Methodist Church and the Clyde Senior Citizens Group. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Nopper-Kalovetz Mortuary, Fremont, where visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in McGormley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Clyde Senior Citizens Center.
