On p. 58, Shinn says that John (b. 1632) is the son of Clement Sheene, b. 1593 and his wife Grace, of Soham, Suffolk.
On p. 25, Shinn shows members of Sheen/Shinn families in the Parish Register for [Earl?] Soham, Suffolk. Clement Sheene and his wife had several children baptized in th 1620s and 1630s, none of them named John.
Shinn also acknowledges that there is another Clement Sheene, contemporary with Clement husband of Grace, and that the other Clement is also having children at the same time.
On p. 38, Shinn had identified a Clement Sheen, b. about 1592, who married a Sarah, as possible parents for John.
