In the 1800 United States Census, John Sever was a head of household in Kingston, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. The household included five free white males under age 10, one free white male aged 16 to 26, one free white male aged 26 to 45, one free white female under age 10, two free white females aged 16 to 26 and one free white female aged 26 to 45 (1800 United States Census, Plymouth County, Massachusetts population schedule, Kingston town, Page 30, FHL Microfilm 0,205,617). The death record for John Sever says he died 7 November 1803 of jaundice, dropsy, etc, age 37 (h. Nancy [Russell]) (Kingston (Massachusetts) Vital Records to 1850). A death notice was published in the Columbian Centinel newspaper of Boston, dated 19 November 1803. It reads: "Sever, John, merchant, d. in Kingston, aged 38." References
