That John Selden, mentioned in the will of Bartholomew, survived him; and made his last will and testament, in writing, bearing date the 27th of December 1754; wherein he devised in manner and form following, to wit: "I give unto my son Joseph Selden my plantation and tract of land, lying and being in the county of Nansemond and late in the possession of Bartholomew Selden, to him my said son and his heirs forever; he paying and discharging my bond to Major Robert Armistead for one hundred and fourteen pounds."
That the said John Selden died soon after, and that he was not possessed of the premises in the declaration mentioned, either at the time of making his said will, or at his death.
