    OBIT:
John Schollard, for many years a merchant in Hebron Township, passed away at his home last Friday. He had been in his usual health and Friday afternoon, as was his ususal custom, he laid down to rest following the noonday meal. His daughter was reading to him and when he seemed more quiet than was natural she made an investigation and found that he had passed peacefully from life.
Mr. Schollard, who was 82 years of age, was a pioneer of Potter County. He had been active in business and in politics, was a Democrat in fair weather and in foul. For a quarter century or more he had operated a general store at Hebron Center. He had held various offices in the township, was a good neighbor and friend.
Two daughters survive him: Mrs. Kate Fessenden, of Millport; and Mrs. Margaret Scuppenhauer, of Chicago.
Funeral services were held from the late home Sunday afternoon with Rev. Dibble, pastor of the U.B. Church at Millport, officiating. Burial was made in Eulalia Cemetery.
