He was probably an englishman in the war of 1812 who was on way back to England, when his companion took all his posessions and injured him. Clara Covey found and took care of him. Later he married Clara. (Probably a British deserter. Supposed to have moved to MI in 1860 but are in the 1850 Census lived in Woodbridge, Hillsdale Co., MI but are also in the NY 1850 census
