Press of Atlantic City NJ, 13 Nov 1989: JOHN S. SANDERS JOHN S. SANDERS, 64, of Bristol, Va., formerly of Pleasantville, died Saturday in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Sanders was employed as a butcher for the Atlantic & Pacific food chain. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II. He was a former member and captain of the Pleasantville Fire Company and a member of the Atlantic Masonic Lodge. Born in Atlantic County, he was a resident of Pleasantville for 50 years before moving to Bristol, Va., four years ago. Surviving are his wife, Betty of Bristol; two sons, John L. of Absecon and William R. of Houston; one daughter, Donna L. Johnson of Bristol, Va.; two brothers, Linford of Absecon, and Robert; seven grandchildren... Services will be held.... Tuesday at Parsels Funeral Home in Absecon, where friends may call one hour prior, with interment following in Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona.
