Immigration ship manifest included a Rebecca Robson, age 70 (born about 1796) who must have been John's mother. Based on birth index searches I believe John and Mary Robson came from either Tynemouth District of Northumberland County (northernmost county... borders Scotland) or the Charles le Street District of Durham County (just to the south next to Northumberland). Death record for another, probably related, Robson in Fayette County gave Durham as place of birth.
