Person:John Robbins (60)

Hi Mariann, My 4 ggf was John Robins (1785-1831) of NJ/Hanover Township, Luzerne, PA and my 5 ggf was Cornelius Garrison (1756-1825), born in Alsace, France ended up in Hanover Twsp. John married Cornelius' daughter, Mary (1786-1831) and they had 8 children that lived to adulthood. Cornelius Garrison came to the American colonies with a group of French soldiers to fight in the American Revolution and spent the rest of his life here. I have been researching my Robins/Robbins family line for about 2 years and can not find the parents of my grandfather John Robins. All information I have on him states he was born in NJ and immigrated to Hanover Twsp in 1803. Let me know if you think I can be of any help to you. All of my direct Robbins line is centered Luzerne County, but many of the other members of the family ended up going "West" - these days would be the mid-west
